Did you know that in a recent survey we conducted, over 70% of respondents expressed interest in voluntarily walking a shelter dog? That’s an amazing number! It shows how many people want to make a positive impact - both for themselves and for these wonderful dogs in need.
And now, we're giving you the chance to do just that!
Imagine this: A peaceful walk through Eindhoven’s scenic parks, fresh air filling your lungs, and a shelter dog by your side. Not only do you get to enjoy the benefits of being outdoors, but you also give a dog a much-needed break from the kennel. These dogs don’t just need exercise; they crave companionship, love, and a friendly face to brighten their day. You could be that person!
A few important rules to keep in mind:
With great cuddles comes great responsibility. Walking a dog is a fun and rewarding experience, but it also comes with responsibility. Take good care of the dog, follow all guidelines, pick up after them, and always keep them on a leash to ensure safety.
No breed preferences. Every dog deserves love and attention. If you sign up, you agree to walk any dog the shelter assigns, regardless of size or breed.
Commitment is key. If you apply to walk a dog, please don’t cancel last-minute. The shelter and the dogs count on your presence, so sign up only if you are fully committed.
Why participate?
This is a win-win experience. You get a refreshing break in nature, a chance to unwind from daily stress, and the joy of knowing you're making a difference in a dog’s life. A short walk may not seem like much, but for a shelter dog, it can mean the world.
Join us in walks that make difference.
